How It All Began

Born in a Heritage House, Built on Good Food

An old heritage building on Gokulam Main Road — high ceilings, cool stone floors, a place that already had soul. Roy saw it and thought: this could be something.

No advertising, just good food and word of mouth. Today Roy's is rated #1 on Wanderlog, the smoked chicken has a cult following, and the soul of the place hasn't changed a bit.

“We didn't set out to build Mysuru's best cafe. We just wanted to feed people really well. Everything else followed.”

Roy opened this place with no grand plan — just a heritage building, a few trusted recipes, and a belief that Gokulam deserved something more soulful. More than a decade on, he's still here most days, in the thick of everything that makes it tick.
